Biodiversity Searches & Environmental Monitoring: Volunteers Wanted
Interested in learning more about local biodiversity and how CAOLAS monitors our coastal environment?
CAOLAS is looking for volunteers interested in getting involved in our biodiversity searches and environmental monitoring during spring and summer 2027.
We hope to offer opportunities to learn about the different ways CAOLAS collects information about our local marine and coastal environment; from searching for and recording biodiversity to learning about our environmental data loggers, the information they collect, and how this contributes to our monitoring work.
These activities will offer a chance to get hands-on with community-led environmental monitoring, learn more about the species and habitats found around our coast, and understand how locally collected data can help us build a picture of our changing marine environment.
No previous monitoring experience is necessary. We hope these will be opportunities to learn as well as to contribute.
