CAOLAS Annual General Meeting & Basking Shark Talk

24 November @ 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Join us for the CAOLAS Annual General Meeting, followed by a special talk from CAOLAS Trustee Professor Rupert Ormond on basking sharks off the Sound of Mull.

Our 2026 Annual General Meeting will take place on Tuesday 24th November at 7pm.

The evening will be a hybrid event, so members and supporters will be able to join us either in person or online. We are currently planning to hold the in-person event at Lochaline Village Hall (venue TBC), with online joining details to be provided ahead of the meeting.

The evening will begin with the core AGM, providing an opportunity to hear about CAOLAS’ work and activities and complete the formal business of the Annual General Meeting.

Basking Sharks off the Sound of Mull

Following the AGM, we’re delighted that our very own CAOLAS Trustee Professor Rupert Ormond will give a talk on Basking Sharks off the Sound of Mull.

The talk will offer an opportunity to learn more about these remarkable visitors to our local waters and Rupert’s knowledge and experience of basking sharks in the area.

Light refreshments will be available for those joining us in person.
